Mixing and Mastering Disclaimers:
- Quality of Source Material:
- The quality of the final mix or master is contingent upon the quality of the provided audio files. The engineer is not responsible for issues stemming from poorly recorded or low-quality source material.
- Revisions Policy:
- The price includes a specified number of revisions. Additional revisions beyond this limit may incur extra charges. All revision requests should be made in writing.
- Turnaround Times:
- Estimated turnaround times are provided, but delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. The engineer will communicate any significant delays.
- Ownership and Rights:
- The client retains ownership of the music and recordings. However, the engineer may use samples or excerpts for promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Payment Terms:
- Payment is required upfront, or a deposit is necessary before the mixing or mastering process begins. Final files will not be delivered until full payment is received.
- No Liability:
- The engineer is not liable for any loss of data or materials during the mixing or mastering process. IT is recommended that clients keep backups of all original recordings.
- Final Approval
- The client is responsible for reviewing and approving the final mix or master before release. Once approved, the engineer is not liable for any further changes or issues.
- Compatibility:
- The engineer will provide files in standard formats (e.g., WAV, MP3), but it is the client’s responsibility to ensure compatibility with their intended platforms or systems.
- Usage of Third-Party Plugins:
- The final sound may vary based on the plugins and equipment used during the mixing or mastering process. While the engineer strives for consistency, results may vary based on project specifics.
- Sound Expectations:
- While the engineer aims to meet the client’s expectations, sound is subjective, and differences in taste may occur. The engineer will do their best to accommodate requests.
